Will We Accept God's Redemption and Peace?

The prophet Isaiah recognized Jesus as Prince of Peace 700 years before God sent him to be our Messiah. In Isaiah’s day war seemed imminent, and uncertainty festered in the hearts of the people. Today is not much different, but  Jesus, who is our Prince of Peace, calms our hearts and gives us assurance.

God sent Jesus into the world to redeem, to save mankind. As we allow Jesus to redeem us, he becomes our Prince of Peace, which seems incomprehensible, but we know we’re being rescued as we receive his joy and peace. “Joy to the world the Lord is come!” Let us praise God for this Christmas Day. Will We Accept God's Endless Provision for Our Needs?

Sometimes we forget that Jesus was promised to be our Everlasting Father, as Isaiah 9:6 announced. We may also forget that our Everlasting Father is capable of providing for our needs. Regardless of our social status, a day comes when our needs exceed our resources. When Jesus is your Everlasting Father, you are within the bounds of all his resources.

God sent Jesus to be our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. As we give thanks for God’s gift of Jesus, let us celebrate Christmas with joyful hearts for the privilege of being the recipients of his love and kindness. Will We Accept God's Strength and Hope During Uncertainty?

Isaiah acknowledged that the deliverer of God’s people would be known as Mighty God, whose reign would endure for all generations. In addition to being the Mighty God, Jesus is also the Light of the World in whom there is no darkness. For this reason, as we learn to accept him, we can possess hope and joy in the presence of an uncertain future.

Let us give thanks to Jesus, our Mighty God, whose light permanently brightens our way, enabling us to cope with a hurried, demanding, and stressful world. This is God’s wonderful gift to you as you celebrate Christmas. So Merry Christmas! May God bless you.

Will We Accept God's Counsel and Help During Trouble?

 A crisis, without fail, presents opportunities to elevate Jesus Christ to a place of prominence in your life. Isaiah was written when disaster loomed on the horizon for God’s people. Yet Isaiah promised, “A king is coming who will reign with righteousness and justice. He will refresh his people like a river in the desert, like the cooling shadow of a mighty rock in a hot and weary land.”

Whatever you’re experiencing, no trouble is beyond God’s help. Isaiah referred to Jesus as Wonderful Counselor who guides you to a light no darkness can consume. May your heart be filled with joy as you celebrate the birth of Jesus. Merry Christmas and God bless you!

Will We Accept God's Greatest Gift – His Wonderful Son?

The Book of Isaiah was written when the Hebrew people faced an uncertain future. Threats from a powerful country and threats from within existed because the nation was seen as weak and careless in their faith. Still, God’s resounding message promised a child would be born to be their Redeemer and Messiah.

Listen to the royal titles Isaiah attributes to him, all of which are designed to bring light and peace into our present-day lives. JESUS is called Wonderful, for he is our Counselor, the Almighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. Please accept these attributes as lights to shine in your heart. God's Christmas Gift: Reconciliation

Isn’t it wonderful that Jesus is the Prince of Peace?  Think about this verse as you celebrate his birth on this Christmas Day: “God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself. Thanks be to God, for he refuses to keep a record of our offenses against us, but committed to us the wonderful ministry of reconciliation.”  

Jesus, the Prince of Peace, gives you his gift of peace, and through that gift of peace you become eligible to receive his gifts of love, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. So count yourself most fortunate and privileged. Merry Christmas and God bless you!

God's Gift: Peacemaking in the Presence of Discord

Why is Jesus called the Prince of Peace? Jesus is the Prince of Peace because through him we have peace with God. The name Prince of Peace means “one who removes all peace-disturbing factors and secures peace for us.” Luke 2:14 gives this declaration: “Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will toward men.”

As we take notice of the world around us, peace seems unattainable. Yet God calls us to be peacemakers, for “blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God.” So be kind to everyone, and the peace of God will be your gift as a peacemaker. Merry Christmas and God bless you!

God's Gift: A Life with Peace in the Presence of Discord

Isaiah concluded Jesus would be called the Prince of Peace. A prince, especially an honored, highly respected prince, should occupy a special place in your heart and soul. Do not permit routines associated with Christmas to overshadow your devotion to the Prince of Peace and the Christmas message. 

God the Father longs to restore and rekindle in you the peace only he can give. This  precious gift can be received by opening your heart and soul to God’s generosity. Jesus is the giver of life – abundant life and eternal life – for those who are receptive to the most precious gift you will ever receive. Merry Christmas and God bless you!

Christ's Peace at Christmas – Experience It

 What are you struggling with at this moment as your try to focus your mind on celebrating the birth of Christ Jesus? I realize we have to live with hardships that may offer little peace and joy. Like in our society, those are the kind of conditions God sent Jesus to redeem. What you’re facing now is what Jesus wants to help you with by giving you strength and peace to endure.

Open your heart and mind to remember that “God is not a God of confusion and disorder but the Lord of peace, harmony, and order.” “Let this mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus” as you prepare yourself to celebrate God’s gift to you. God bless you and Merry Christmas.

Faith's Priorities at Christmas

It only takes a moment to re-center your faith’s priorities on what will matter for all eternity. Does that sound a bit difficult if your Christmas Day seems full of chaos? Perhaps your day hasn’t been that bad, but right now it’s pretty stressful. This can be the time for you to refocus and think of who Jesus is and what He means to you.

God’s Word whispers that His name is “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace.” Re-center your mind of these names and let them find a resting place in your heart. Jesus said, “My peace I give you,” and his strong peace is for eternity. What a wonderful gift! Now God bless and keep you, and Merry Christmas!

Faith's Priority ~ Prince of Peace

What does Christmas actually mean to you? What real importance does it hold in your heart and soul? Is Christmas the time to be happy and joyful, eat good foods, visit friends and family and give special gifts? What about those who can’t reach such wonderful goals because obstacles seem insurmountable and permanent?

 

In spite of these problems for living, powerful faith priorities can separate the darkness from the light. These unique faith priorities say that only Jesus is the source of light and peace. Even where there is grief and sorrow, Jesus came to be the Prince of Peace, to heal the brokenhearted and be a comforter for those who are alone. God bless you and keep you!

Faith's Priority ~ Everlasting Father

The majority of human beings have a list of priorities that guide their lives. What has influenced your list of priorities that guide you through the Christmas holidays? It is so easy to be pressured into believing gift-giving is more important than our relationships with those to whom the gifts will be given. We should not believe or accept that – but just listen those TV commercials!

What can we discover about faith’s priorities that intend to keep joy and God’s everlasting love in all activities, that ring out the Good News that Jesus has come to be Savior, Redeemer and Everlasting Father? We demonstrate faith’s priority when we emphasize God so loved us, He gave His ultimate best to save us. Merry Christmas!

Faith's Priority ~ Mighty God

What’s included in your list of priorities as you prepare for this wonderful time of the year? If you were to list them in order of their priority, would they be doable with joy, or a bit overwhelming? Faith’s priority for Christmas means that nothing supersedes what the Almighty God intended with the birth of Christ Jesus.    

 

So what does it mean to have faith in order for priorities to be set and maintained? Faith means to have complete trust and confidence that our Mighty God is at work in his world to bring about His plan for the salvation of all humankind through His Son Christ Jesus. Faith's Priority ~ Wonderful Counselor

 What does it mean to set faith’s priority for the Christmas holidays? A priority gives something an honorable place in the order of your life. What is faith’s priority for the Christmas holidays? It’s following Jesus’ lead and counsel in wonder and awe, trust and faith. Consider: What does the Birth of Jesus, our Wonderful Counselor mean to you?

God gave us Jesus, a gift that should not be minimized by distractions. Multitudes of interruptions try to disrupt our commitment to our Wonderful Counselor, who deserves first place in our life. So faith’s priority gives maximum importance to demonstrating your love, faith and gratitude for God’s precious gift, His Son Jesus. Merry Christmas! God bless you!

Gifts from God ~ Hope and Peace

Hope is a wonderful gift to receive, especially when the moment is dark and the future obscure. Hope is made possible by even the smallest degree of trust that whatever is encountered, God’s presence will ensure all things work together for our good. God’s gift of hope generates peace for the present moment and for the future.

Wounds inflicted to your heart and soul seek recovery and healing. Hope made possible by your faith believes God will heal those wounds. His purpose in sending Christ Jesus was not only to save you but to provide grace and mercy for every situation.
