How Important Is Trust to You?

Considering all the people you know, whom do you trust? What does trust means to you? Someone humorously said, “Trust is giving your debit card along with the pin number to someone you believe would never rip you off.”

Trust is confidence that the ties that bind could never be easily severed. Trust is longed for because it represents a treasure of great value and worth. Accountability cannot be separated from trust, for trust is the strongest motivation for being responsible.

In the Parable of the Pearl of Great Value, Jesus relates how a merchant found the perfect pearl he had pursued for years. He sold his possessions and bought the pearl. This is analogous to taking hold of the Kingdom Of Heaven offered to you at great sacrifice by God. Trust is grasping what may never come your way again. 

Trust compels you to tenaciously seize the Kingdom of God, for it is of great value.

How Can You Discover the Potential for Compatibility?

Potentiality for compatibility is often recognized spontaneously. As a relationship blossoms and grows, compatibility and maturity become evident. Unfortunately, differences in beliefs and values may be hidden due to fear of rejection. This form of dishonesty blocks compatibility.

Maturity isn’t based on perfection but provides confidence for entrusting oneself into the care of an intimate other. As a couple moves toward stability, evidence for compatibility will be discovered, which builds a case for or against a closer relationship.

Maturity and compatibility include how much capacity there is for relaxation, humor, and fun. God meant for us to find humor in everyday life in order to experience joy, which enhances compatibility. 

Do you realize that joy is a gift from God? Love, joy, and peace are wonderful gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Blessed by God Most High

It's impossible to escape challenges that test your faith. Listen to David’s prayer for his people in Psalm 20: “May the Lord answer you when you’re in distress; may the Lord protect you by sending help. May he be pleased with your offerings and sacrifices and give you the desire of your heart so your plans will succeed.”

God will extend these blessings to you because of his unfailing love. In Genesis 14:18-20 Melchizedek, priest of the Most High God, pronounced blessings on Abraham: “Blessed be Abraham by God Most High, creator of heaven and earth, and blessed be God Most High who delivered you from your enemies."

You may not have enemies, but when you see God as Most High and love him with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind, he will be your strength and shield as you face uncertainties and challenges that test your faith. So turn back to God, whatever your circumstances, and trust him completely.
